Development and usage of intelligent and smart materials are one of the most rapidly growing sector of materials science and innovative technologies. In comparison to conventional processes the preparation of smart and intelligent materials has attracted considerable interest among the scientists, engineers and technologists. In our days these materials – ceramics, metals, alloys and polymers - are unavoidable in the modern instruments, ultrasonic linear motors, sensor technology and in many other cases like experimental analysis of Lamb wave generation in Timoshenko beam.
This symposium will provide an open forum for researchers, physicists, chemists, engineers and technologists from around the world to discuss recent achievements and advances in smart materials and intelligent technologies. New developments, fundamental and novel aspects of processing methods, new applications as well as characterisation and evaluation of these materials are particularly emphasized.
